Should I Get Dental Implants?

Some people have very good genes. I envy them and I congratulate their parents. I wasn't that lucky in the health department, even though I am very careful with what I eat and how much I exercise. Unfortunately, I was still a teenager when my teeth started to go bad. Despite my frequent visits to the dentist cedar park orthodontics, it wasn't possible to save all of them, so I ended up with some holes in my mouth.

Now I want to do something in order to sort out this issue, as I hate not to be able to smile and laugh like I used to. I'm thinking to get dental implants, but I don't know whether I qualify for this type of treatment or not. The idea is that one needs to have healthy gums in order for the implants to be successful. Unfortunately, I have periodontal disease, so I have no idea if my jaw bone is strong enough for this.

Anyway, I've scheduled a visit to my dentist next week. Hopefully, she'll be able to assess my condition and decide which is the most suitable treatment in my situation. I do hope to get implants, but a couple of bridges should also do just fine.
